Simexco Daklak & Highlands Coffee join forces to develop the robusta coffee value chain

On April 16, 2025, during the grand opening ceremony of the Highlands Coffee Roastery in Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Simexco Daklak and Highland Coffee Roastery officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking an important milestone in establishing a strategic partnership between the two companies in the Vietnamese robusta coffee value chain.

According to the agreement, Simexco Daklak will supply high-quality commercial, and specialty robusta green coffee beans tailored to the partner’s requirements. Additionally, the company will develop dedicated sourcing regions to ensure traceability and improve quality through sustainable farming models.

The two sides will also collaborate on building model farms, piloting regenerative agriculture practices, and introducing innovative post-harvest processing methods to enhance the value of coffee.

The resulting products from these initiatives will be exclusively purchased by Highland Coffee Roastery, which will also use them as the foundation for marketing and branding campaigns aimed at promoting Vietnamese robusta coffee both domestically and internationally.

This MoU not only reflects the strong commitment of both companies to building a sustainable coffee value chain but also opens new opportunities for Vietnamese robusta to assert its position on the global coffee map.
